Platelet-rich plasma, also known as PRP, is the portion of your blood with a high concentration of platelets. Following a blood draw, your blood is placed in a specialized machine to separate your platelets from the other cells in your blood. This platelet rich plasma is then injected into your scalp.

PRP treatment courses may differ depending on your clinical presentation and provider. Generally, we recommend an initial course of three to four treatments, one month apart. We also schedule a check in 3 months after to help evaluate and discuss what maintenance treatment plan would work best for you. Maintenance treatments can vary depending on your response, cause of hair loss, and treatment goals.

Results will vary patient to patient. Some patients begin experiencing benefits after one treatment.
